Public Transport
DKIT is just off the main M1 motorway between Dublin & Belfast and also on the main train and bus routes between these two cities.  Travelling to Dundalk Institute of Technology by plane, train, car or bus is easy!

From The Airport

Taxi – a 35-40 minute journey of approx 40 miles.
Bus – buses travel directly from Dublin Airport to Dundalk.  Check out schedules on the Bus Eireann website link.  There is also a bus from the airport that stops right outside the college.
Car – follow the M1, direction north towards Belfast and take the first exit for Dundalk (South).  When you reach the end of the link road off the M1 turn left at the XEROX junction.  DkIT is on the right hand side.

 

Train & Bus Services
The main Bus Eireann station in Dundalk is approximately a 15 minute walk from the campus while the train station is approximately a 25 minute walk.

Dundalk is served by the mainline train route between Belfast and Dublin.Trains run daily. Check out the Irish Rail website for details and the DKIT town map for directions.

There are regular bus services from all the main local and regional centres to Dundalk. Check out Schedules on the Bus Eireann website.

 

Travel by Car
Check out the AA website or Google Maps to plan your journey.  Once you get to Dundalk use the DKIT town map for directions.

 

Accommodation – Hotels
The Crowne Plaza is Dundalk’s newest hotel.  It has 13 floors and was officially opened in September 2007.   The hotel is right next door to the campus.  See the Crowne Plaza website for rates etc.

 

Accommodation – B&Bs
Rosemount B&B is an award winning B&B opposite DKIT established in 1975.  See the Rosemount website for rates etc.

Fairlawns B&B is located on the Old Dublin Rd in Dundalk near DKIT. See the Fairlawns website for rates etc.

Arlee House B&B is located across the road from DKIT and can be contacted at (042) 9351984.
